TruGreen, or at least the office that covers our area, is horrible. I have used them for most of the last nine years, but I am going to fire them again. When they provide the lawn treatment services that I pay them for, it does not help much. I still have weeds and still have fungus. The worst thing about them, though, is that they do not always deliver the product that I have paid for. Their thecnician; just comes out, sticks some signs in the yard and leaves. My dilemma is that TruGreen is the only company of their kind I have been able to find that services my area. This is why I asked HomeAdvisor to recommend someone else, but the only company you have referred me to is TruGreen, so I give HomeAdvisor half a star, as well ;-(
Professional and detailed
They show up, stay for 15-20 minutes and leave. Nothing happens. My yard is still crappy!
I have had only application, however I think they will try to please me.
We have just had one visit so far, We are pleased so far.
The salesperson was misleading about the number of services and the pricing. When I tried to reach out to his cell phone he did not return phone calls and I had to call the 800 number.
Would give 0 stars if I could. What a nightmare I recently had with True Green Lawn Care. I placed a request on Home Advisor that read: *House on 2 ½ acres.* We do our own law treatments for the most part but certain areas just cannot grow grass. Just took 5 samples of dirt and sent them to the State of CT agricultural experiment station for soil analysis. Results just back today with recommendations. We have about 80,000 square feet that need between 50-100 pounds per square feet of limestone put down. (Roughly 80-100 bags put down.) Since this was such a big job, (almost 8,000 pounds of lime) my husband and I put the job on home advisor and were immediately called by True Green. I explained the situation and just to be clear and no misunderstanding, my husband also got on the phone and spoke to the Danbury office sales manager. We were given a quote and told if we paid today the rate would be locked. We offered the manager to come to our home to take a look at just what needed to be done but he declined. We paid. The manager instructed us to place a copy of the states recommendations on the garage door and I told him that I would put signs on the lawn as to what each area of the lawn was labeled as it related to the five different samples in the report. Then the unprofessional and unbelievable nightmare started. First attempt: Technician comes with a push spreader and has no idea that there were specific recommendations to follow. He said the job was too big and that somebody would come next week with a tractor. Second attempt; Technician comes with a push spreader and again says that the job is too big and has no idea about the recommended specifications that he is to follow. He leaves. Third attempt: My husband comes home early from work to check job status and sees truck in the road but nobody in the yard. He looks around and sees them putting lime down on the house across the street. They were doing the wrong home! What is so upsetting about this is that about two hours before technician arrived, I had called the local branch since I could not be home to make sure that technician knew to read the lime recommendations on the garage door. I was told that it was all written in the computer and that the technicians always read any job and double check what is to be done before the perform any service. Well, obviously that is not true. At this point both my husband and I reached out to the local branch and were given the now expected quote *I am so sorry.* I went a step further this time and asked for corporate number. Number that was given actually only was directed to a northeast division. All info given to representative and was told all information was to be forwarded to her boss and corporate. Fourth attempt: came home early and found technician finishing job. The entire lawn had been given a flat 15 pounds of lime per 1,000 square feet. The receipt read, â This service was tailored to your individual landscape needs so you can have a healthy yard so you will never want to leave. I again called the local branch and left message and message returned left on answering machine said that the job had been completed as per specifications. Whose specifications?? Not mine. At this point did not call back and called credit card Company for refund. In about a dozen calls that I made, I never got one call back from anybody in authority from the local, regional or corporate office.
