I often come here for recommendations/referrals for services. Today I want to share one. Bumble Bee Plumbing recently came to our home and helped us with multiple plumbing issues. We needed our RO System repaired, a repair to a shower and we needed repairs to 3 toilets. They came right away and they came prepared. They gave us multiple options and their pricing was more than fair. They sent 3 skilled workers. They were here for just a few hours. I could not be more happy with the results. They stayed until I was completely satisfied and followed up promptly when I had questions. I have had other plumbers. Never have I had such a good experience. I'll never call anyone else. Project: Replace heavily leaking hose bib. Bumble Bee was the first to respond through HomeAdvisor. They were able to send someone right away. Ken was my repairman. He was very professional and polite. He gave me a quote of $181.00 to replace the hose bib and straighten a second one. Since I was desperate to get the job done to avoid a huge water bill I didn't have time to contact another company for an estimate so I said yes. Ken did a good job, however after the fact I realize the $181.00 to replace a hose bib that costs about $8.00 is absolutely ridiculous. If I had had big enough pliers to remove the old faucet I could have done the job myself for about $10.00 so I now feel pretty foolish for paying so much. There is no justification for the price that I can see. I can see paying around $50.00 for the service provided. He did check my water pressure and explained some issues that may need attention in the future which I did appreciate. I am not blaming Ken for the outrageous price, which I am assuming is the company price. However, I feel I was way overcharged for what was a pretty simple replacement of a hose bib that took less than half an hour. Because of the high price I would be hesitant to contact Bumble Bee in the future, and if I did, I would definitely get estimates from other companies for the job. Quick service and professional? Yes. Good prices? A big NO.
