Reviews
Write a ReviewPrompt and friendly, the tech re-wired the automatic shutoff switch to the air handler and condenser, then cleaned out the air handler and unclogged the foundation drain.
Prompt and friendly, the repair was actually annual maintenance. Cleaned drain line and repaired C wire to thermostat.
overall good for the routine cleaning and service call.
Charged $50 for service call. Tech that came out couldnt determine what type of unit we had, so only solution was to replace the entire unit with a newer(smaller) unit. 3 days after tech came out, my unit began putting out a burning plastic smell through all vents and around the unit outside. Had to have a different company come out for an emergency call to find that my blower intake was sucking in a piece of insulation backing from a side panel. Could have burned out the entire system and possible started a fire if we werent home to shut it down right away. On the 6 years Ive owned my home, we never once encountered this issue. Tech that came to fix the problem asked who else had touched my unit recently and that I should follow up with them. Called Velocity to ask for a full rundown of what their tech did when he came out since I wasnt home, and all I got in response was a single image of a gauge hooked up to the Freon line. Manager from Velocity called me after a few more emails back and forth and I explained the situation and my belief that their tech may have knocked this insulation backing off, whether accidental or intentional. Was told they would look into it. Within an hour, the initial service charge was refunded to me and the manager called back stating that the tech didnt appear to take any notes that were input in the system and they would need to look into it further. Now that theyve refunded me my service charge, my hopes of hearing anything further have gone to zero. Wouldnt recommend a company with shady business practices like this to anyone...borderline predatory when you are dealing with HVAC in Florida, especially when the tech comes out to a house with a mother and baby in it for a service call.
This is a misunderstanding, insulation comes looks overtime. We are in communication with the customer.
AC went kaput went to Home Advisor and within minutes received a call from Velocity, inquired on possibility of a technician. Eric was here within of an hour, he was impressive, professional, informative knowledgeable. Diagnosed and explained the problem with our old AC unit in minutes (which he pointed out on the unit with his testing apparatus so I could understand). After accessing the repair cost (which was very fair reasonable) since our unit is some 19 years old we elected to update and purchase a new Trane and within minutes he approved us for 18 months @ 0% interest. Next day Velocity attained city permit and we were so lucky to get Richard K. Jaison M. to do the install, what an amazing team! While watching the removal of old and installation of new, which included a new handler and thermostat what an awaking experience of the amount of work involved. In a few short hours we were enjoying our new Trane and Richard & Jaison (spelled correctly) left us happy & and appreciative of a fantastic experience and a totally spotless yard & garage not to mention hauling off the old units. Hard to believe how well it is cooling and can hardly hear it running and actually up our normal temperature by two degrees and the air feels fresh and amazing. A1 all the way ! *Update; City inspector approved and paid compliment on very professional installation ...... ~jt thomas~
They sent Dwayne out to the house on-time. He was extremely knowledgeable and straightforward. Took care of everything quickly and provided me with all needed information. If you call in I'd ask for him for sure!
