Difficult enough to move to a new city without concern about who to hire & whether your choice will be competent & fair... Velocity Air Conditioning, Inc. was both! Thank you HomeAdvisor & special thanks to Velocity Air!
I had another A/C company come out first and they said I didn't need any freon. They said my problem was dirty evaporator coil inside air handler. Then I called Velosity they said I did a good job clean coil but I need more freon in condenser. I allowed them to add 4 lbs of freon for $300. Plus add a relay starter for condenser for a total cost of over $425. Well the next day my unit froze up again and when I called them to come take a look made appointment they never showed up. They called me and said my air evaporator coil needs to be cleaned. I purchased $300 of freon for nothing!
Excellent communication skills. Kept us informed of what was being done and what the costs would be. Offered various options based upon price. Hired them as our AC guys!
Tech seemed competent. Charged $49.00 for call out. Unable to solve problem due to electrical panel issue. I believe tech could have done more work on diagnosing A/C issue. It turned out that there was no refrigerant in system.
Brad was very helpful and friendly, explained the problem and showed us where he got the pricing - really like the upfront pricing, reassures that it is true price, not inflated.
These people are very knowledgeable about the work, the product they are dealing with,, and overall issues that I was dealing with. Tim in the office made me aware of things I did not know about concerning the brand of a/c I had. I double checked his information online and found that what he told me was right on target. Brad the tech that did the work, gave me all options, which the other co. I was talking to did not), and I appreciated that all info was given so I could make an informed decision on how I wanted to proceed. The cost was exactly what they quoted, and the work was done quickly and efficiently. I would recommend Velocity Air over any others, and if I have problems again will be calling them.
Nice, knowledgable tech. On time serviced 3 units & figured out 1 minor & 1 major problem.
The technician was on time, Knowledgeable, explained in detail, and was very neat. His work fixed my problem and for a reasonable price.
When we purchased our home 6 months ago we had no idea that the previous owner decided to install the new AC system in the cheapest method possible. Codes exist for a reason, people, which we found out when the unit flooded an interior wall. We hired Tyler to fix what should have been done in the first place. A contractor knows the codes does the job right and is worth every penny. We will use Velocity exclusively for any HVAC need. They are honest, prompt, fair, and professional. By the way, we had gotten a quote from a company we recognized from tv advertising and they quoted nearly double what Velocity did.
