Write a ReviewVery helpful knew what need to be done did it quick at a very fair price. I will call them again. Thanks.
We had unusual circumstances regarding a reoccurring leak in our line sets running under sunroom concrete slab. After numerous attempts and extreme fee's by long standing HVAC company, we decide to give Velocity a try. After doing due diligence online ,we decided to purchase the "leak seal" and coolant to recharge the system. I had a lengthy conversation with Tyler (owner) explaining my problems to date in addition to discussing my desire to purchase the materials. He was very professional and related to my situation and we agreed to a service agreement fee to perform the work requested. He then had me schedule the appointment with Witley, who was very courteous and professional. It was agreed that I would contact their office upon receipt of the materials, at which time an appointment for service would be set. Upon receipt of the materials, I contacted Witley. She scheduled a service appointment for the next day. The service technician came on time, was very knowledgeable and courteous. He installed the leak seal and coolant in a timely manner and also performed a diagnostic test on the system. So far, so good. If this repair doesn't hold, (it would be through no fault of Velocity) our next step would be to run a new line set from the condensing unit to the fan coil (about 35'). i would definitely use Velocity to perform all future required work needed for our HVAC system. I would strongly recommend them for any HVAC job you may have. They are "very trustworthy". I think that says it all.
Very prompt very polite made it so that I can understand what he was talking about took extra time to explain to my eighty-three-year-old mother in law so she could understand what the problem was Brad was a technician he's very nice and I would highly highly recommend him to anyone in need of service he came in checked everything from the unit outside 2 ductwork to the thermostat to the filters got our unit back online in about a half hour he was at our house within 15 minutes of the time I placed the phone call unfortunately are air conditioner is a 1979 model but he got it going
The work and the workers were excellent. The office girl (Whitney) was not efficient in relaying accurate information. Otherwise, we were very satisfied with our new A/C! The response time was very quick and our tenants were very happy.
As they installed the new unit, they tried to "upsell" two additional items that other contractors had included in their quotes to do the work. They also wanted to collect payment for the installation without having obtained a permit and have the work certified/approved by the permit issure (Pasco County). Not a huge issue, but, if a subsequent inspection occurred and there were deficiencies that would make the work not pass inspection, I'd have been responsible for updating the work so that it passed inspection, to close the permit (very important for when you sell the home, no matter how many years later that would be). I'd give them 5-stars across the board otherwise.
The initial work quality was poor, but with a call to Tyler, he came out and resolved the issues fairly. I believe that customers and clients have to work together for a good outcome of any kind. Consumers sometimes go too far in their expectations and forget that people are running a business and use that to their advantage. I believe that Tyler was fair and would be the first person I would call to replace all of my A/C work.
Very knowledgeable technician when they came to give me an estimate, but make sure you get EVERY detail you talk about in writing. I was promised an exact price match and same equipment from the competitions estimate, but the condensation pump and Wi-Fi thermostat was not part of the install. The installer, Carl, is a fantastic guy. He really knew the equipment and did an excellent job. Overall experience was great, I would recommend Velocity.
Do not rush in to get repairs or replacement as I was overcharged for new unit I purchased. Take ur time to get at least 3 estimates for similarly sized units.
I had Velocity AC install a new AC system where they had to relocate the compressor. Jay and Jessiah (sorry for spelling) were awesome! they were professional, nice and hard working!!! I swear they never took a break the entire day! They cleaned up better then how my house was before they arrived (LOL)! I would absolutely recommend this company!!
Tyler the serviceman was a very nice person, he was very accommodating to fixing our AC unit even in the after hours.
